STONE COLD FOX // BEIJING BIKINI

MoshPit Bar and Great Southern Nights presents:

STONE COLD FOX

Born out of the Sydenham Swamp, STONE COLD FOX are Celia (vocals, harp), Melissa (bass), Stu (guitar) and Wilton (drums).

Equal parts simpatico and shambles. Swamp sludge with soaring vocals, building tension and an eruption of power.

“Gloriously unhinged blues swamp stomp”

-JJ Willmett

Beijing Bikini

Beijing Bikini is a 4piece Sydney band that features members of the local DIY music community who also play in Garry David, MoMos, and The Baddies. The band was formed out of the ashes of 90’s Sydney band The Bacchantes, which both vocalist Bob Blunt and bassist Darcy Eunson-Cottle played in.

After a 20 year hiatus, The Bacchantes reunited in 2015 for a reformation gig with the original line up. In 2017 a decision was made to seek out guitarist Drew Thomason (MoMos) and drummer Terry Van See from The Baddies. Beijing Bikini play a distinctive brand of post punk pop that has caught the eye of followers since debuting in 2017. One fan said this about them – ‘a tight post punk pop soundtrack to Bob Blunt’s distinctive vocal delivery. I could watch Drew play guitar any day. Precision rambling is an oxymoron.

The band’s debut self-titled album came out in 2018, and in the summer of 2021 the band will retreat away to a studio to record their second album.
