Description
Alex Edwards returns to Sydney after a 6 year hiatus and this time with band in tow. Fresh after his nomination at the Queensland Music Awards in 2021, the grunge-propelled singer-songwriter is teaming up with eccentric Sydney rockers TWINR and local superstar Conor O’Donoghue to celebrate too many years between drinks!
Alex Edwards Band – Hard-hitting melodic (and at times progressive) rock that is band-minded enough to supersede the cliches and limitations of the singer-songwriter genre, Alex Edwards Band take inspiration from hallowed acts such as Queens Of The Stone Age and Weezer.
TWINR – Indie, post-rock emo superheroes TWINR are difficult to bind to any of those 3 classifications but they certainly evoke some of each’s better elements. At the same time experimental and straight-forward, TWINR need to be heard live to be believed!
Conor O’Donoghue – Fuzzy, friendly and gritty rock ‘n’ roll epithets are strung together by Connor’s Bob Dylan-like vocals as he navigates traditional rock forms with aplomb.
