Hokkaido have released their debut EP Northern Sea. Be the first to hear it in all its glory. Joining them are local lads. SouthBound, Dirty Mindsets and Spinning Cupids. Come for a night of high energy guitar driven music.
Hokkaido - Described as a mix of progressive rock and post hardcore, Hokkaido’s anthemic tunes hit hard, both in the studio and on the stage. Their live shows have been described as ‘engaging and energetic’, driven by the powerhouse rhythm section of Shaun Broady (bass) and Eric Upton (drums), and consolidated with the melodic stylings of Kieran Broady (guitar, lead vocals) and Pat Ortiz (guitar, backup vocals). The band draws influences from a wide array of bands including Deftones, Thrice and Refused, embodying the volcanic highs and arctic lows of the eponymous island the band is named after.
SouthBound - Hailing from the shire, Southbound is made up of four mates playing alternative rock tunes that will make you dance along.
Dirty Mindsets - Australian alternative rock band of four great mates from Western Sydney who take influence from bands such as: Arctic Monkeys, Wavves, Greenday and Violent Soho. They’ve been refining their “moshy alt rock†sound over the last few years to create a new “half chub†take on rock n roll.
Spinning Cupids - Are an up and coming alternative/indie rock band from Marrickville who are passionate for music and performing in front of people. The band has started at the end of 2020 and experienced a few lineup changes before solidyfing the current cast of collaborators who are equal minded and motivated to create and express ourselves musically.
