SPIRAL // RIFF RATS // RAZORBACK

A great night of metal, punk, and hard rock covers performed by rocking professionals, with an original rock/electro/disco duo finishing off the night.

Razorback - Formed in 2020 in Sydney's western suburbs, the band took its name from Razorback Ridge, near the town of Picton. The members come from all corners of the globe: singer Rakesh is from India, bassist Miguel is Peruvian, Pete, the drummer is English and last, but not least, Ákos, the band's founder, was born in Hungary. One could literally say they are the United Nations of Metal! Razorback draw their influences from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal era (think of Iron Maiden or Judas Priest) and from 80s thrash masters such as Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. One thing is certain, while a couple of the members have passed the half century mark, they may huff, they may puff, but they will certainly blow the house down!

Riff Rats - 3 piece rock band with plenty of attitude and grunt. The boys from Penrith don't muck around, seasoned rock professionals guaranteed to rock and punk your brains out.

Spiral is a 2 piece Sydney based band who deliver an exciting synergetic fusion of metal, rock, industrial and electronic sounds. Formed in 2015, by songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound engineer, Shane Verdon, and joined soon after by vocalist and lyricist, Tanya Roggenkamp. Spiral began as a four piece unit delivering a style derived from many different influences in the metal/rock scene. Spiral’s debut album “Sonic Conspiracy” was released in 2019 and was written by Shane and Tanya. The evolution of Spiral’s sound to date, takes the listener on a unique and intense journey of sound, delivering a hard edged sonic wall of industrial guitar and bass sounds, layered with hypnotic synth electro grooves, and hard edged to melodic vocals flowing throughout each track. Spiral’s second album “Unseen Highway” (2021) is the most recent release with album three to be released late 2022.
