Description
Rumours of our death have been mildly exaggerated, we were just drunk in the corner and slept for a couple of months – did we miss anything? Corona? Yeah sure I’ll have a Corona, or Resch’s, whatever, but we’ll need more than 19!
Anyway, we’re playing a gig both live in person and across the interwebs.
Helping us in this endeavour will be the amazing Jo Meares & Michael Bridges. Jo is a proper songwriter, with warm-dark story songs that leave you lost in a poorly-lit Mexican cantina in the backstreets of Berlin, while Michael is a violinist whose fiddling is most profound indeed.
Any questions?
About Suburban Bukowskis:
Upbeat, folky, punky and oft-times funny, neo-beatnik tales of failure, fun, futility and excess in the wild inner-west are trademark of the story-songs penned by award-winning poet and playwright Benito Di Fonzo for the Suburban Bukowskis. Suburban Bukowskis are made complete by veteran rock bassist Mike Sheehan and percussionist Rich Machine.
“Clever, witty, sharp and surreal†(Rhum.org.au)
