Australian by birth and firmly rooted in the Aussie Punk meets Rock tradition of Saints, Radio Birdman and early AC/DC. But it doesn't stop there, SIMON CHAINSAW draws on brash influences like Social Distortion, Stooges, Sex Pistols, Motorhead & CBGBs style punk mixed with the dirty melody of Husker Du, Replacements, Hellacopters, Turbonegro and the cow punk of The Johnnys and the Super Suckers. SIMON CHAINSAW brings you 666% High Energy Rock'n'Roll with heaps of soul that is totally radio friendly!
SIMON CHAINSAW lived in Brazil for almost 20 years since the year 2000, So even though he is an Australian playing Australian style rock'n'roll, until recently SIMON CHAINSAW had been a kind of Brazilian phenomena. Since releasing his first LP “BASTA” in 2003, it's been pretty much 1 LP each year since then.
SIMON CHAINSAW has toured Europe and South America extensively (even played back home a few times too) releasing records with labels in Australia, Germany, France, Brazil, Argentina and USA. Just do a search on Youtube… there are dozens of video clips, TV appearances and live footage from fans.
